Elegant yet full of character. Pretty red berry aromas lead to a delicate palate of summer fruit and herbs, finishing crisply dry and refreshing.
France, Champagne, Veuve Cliquot
A truly complex and exquisite Champagne. Dry with plenty of body.
France, Champagne, Laurent-Perrier Cuvee Rose-Brut
Unquestionably the brand leader in this category. 100% Pinot Noir grapes, which are allowed only three days brief contact with the skins to give the wine that glorious pink colour.
Italy, Ca' del Console Prosecco Extra Dry
A classic Prosecco with aromas of white peach, pear and flowers. The palate is fresh, not too dry, and clean as a whistle all the way through to the sparkling finish.
Smaragd is the Wachau designation for dry late harvest wines, above 12.5% alcohol through natural fermentation. Vines up to 50 years old, growing in weathered primitive rock and loess soils, yield a profound, archetypal Veltliner that is rich in extracts. Pale lemon green in colour, with notes of grass, lemon, white grapefruit and stones. The wine is medium bodied and has steely minerality, complemented by subtle citrus fruit flavours.
2014, France, Burgundy, Henri de Villamont Puligny-Montrachet
A generous style of Puligny-Montrachet from a famous vineyard, offering a nice nose of almonds, white flowers and fresh fruits. The mouth is fine and elegant, nicely tuned, with understated oak and a long citrus finish, with a touch of minerality in the aftertaste. One of the best wines of Burgundy.
2016/17 Chile, Valle Ventral, Poco Mas, Merlot
Paco Mas means "a little more" and this is what this wine delivers. Packed full of black fruit, spice and pepper, this Merlot from the Central Valley has smooth tannins and a velvety finish.
2015 Portugal, Dao, Prunus, Vinho Tinto
Lightly oaked and perfectly balanced, with a silky texture and crisp edge. The nose is cram-packed with mulberries, blackberries and anise. On the palate black cherry and raspberry fruit tones with creamy and chocolaty oak flavours.
Fruity bouquet of blackcurrant, strawberry bush and plum, leading to a smooth, full-bodied palate with a long finish.
2016 France, Rhône Valley, Delas Saint-Espirit, Côtes-du-Rhone
With Syrah to the fore, this is full of berry fruit, violet, liquorice, and spices. It has a generous, rounded palate and a long, elegant finish.
2014 France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Brouilly, Château de la Perriere
This juicy Brouilly shows a fine spectrum of fruit, raspberries, Morello cherries and blackcurrants. There is some typical Brouilly power on the palate, but a good deal of finesse as well.
2014 France, Burgundy, Henri de Villamont, Bourgogne Prestige, Pinot Noir
Henri de Villamont's "junior" red burgundy is in fact a rather sophisticated affair, showing real depth of fruit and a fine silky texture. The balance between berry-floral flavour, medium-bodied structure and gentle oak is absolutely spot-on.
2012 France, Bodeaux, Montagne Saint-Emilion, Château Montaiguillon
An expressive nose of roasted plums, dried herbs and fresh earthy notes leads to a medium-full, currant-infused palate of both breadth and focus.
2017 Argentina, Mendoza, Finca la Colonia, Malbec
Deep red colour with violet hues. Aromas of ripe red fruit, cassis and black pepper, fruit and a touch of spice on the palate. Elegant and smooth with a long finish.
A very elegant wine full of bright red fruit and cassis notes, with a touch of vanilla oak for complexity. The palate is vibrant and concentrated, the finish long and generous.
2012 Spain Finca Nueva, Rioja
A traditional, savoury style of Crianza in which rich blackberry and cassis fruit mingles with more mature notes of leather and spice, as well as creamy, toasty notes from the oak ageing. Dense, long and vibrant on the palate.
2015 Spain, Catalonia, Montsant, Joan d’Angera
The youngest wine in the d'Anguera stable has a vibrant red colour and an equally vivid aroma of pomegranate and warm rocks. Light yet with real intensity on the palate, this is in every sense a refreshing take on the Montsant appellation.
Red fruits, black cherry and blackcurrant on the nose. On the palate, the spice of the Negroamaro is complemented by the juicy plum jam flavours of Primitivo, resulting in a soft and well-balanced wine.
2014 Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Langmeil, Valley Floor, Shiraz
A quintessential expression of Barossa Shiraz, with aromas of plum and mulberry offset by milk chocolate, cinnamon and pepper. The rich, voluptuous texture on the palate is lifted by spice and a fresh fruit character that deftly belies the wine's concentration.
2013, Italy, Prunotto Barolo, Piedmont
Aromatic with rich tannins and characteristics of old oak, these wines are considered by most to be some of Italy’s finest. This wine is robust with evident notes of red flowers, strawberry and forest fruits on the nose. Long and smooth with earthy tobacco and chocolate on the finish, this is Barolo at its best.
2013, USA, Sonoma Coast, Radio-Coteau La Neblina, Pinot Noir
The wine displays an alluring red velvet hue encompassing a dark rose centre with radiant clarity. After a few swirls, the wine becomes more complex, letting out flowers, additional fruit and nuttiness. Intense black cherries and warm blueberry preserves rub elbows with sweet oak undertones and oven-roasted cashews. Entering the palate, the medium weight of the wine is accompanied by red raspberry and Alpine strawberries.
2013, USA, Napa Valley, Joseph Phelps, Cabernet Sauvignon
This delicious Napa Cabernet expresses the region’s opulent berry fruit and supple texture without straying into over ripeness. Displaying classic Cabernet aromas of blackberry and blueberry with hints of baking spices and tobacco follow through to a full body, with polished and silky tannins with layers of dark berries, graphite and cocoa powder on the palate. Dense with beautifully integrated oak and sweet tannins throughout the lingering finish.

Very refined dry rosé, with an attractive floral aroma, redcurrant fruit, and excellent length in the mouth.
2015/16 Italy, Puglia, Tormaresca Calafuria
Peach petal pink in colour, this wine shows intense yet delicate fragrances of pink grapefruit, peaches and violets. The flavour is fresh and balanced with savoury notes and excellent aromatic persistence.
2013 France, South West, Jurançon, Château Jolys, Cuvée Jean
Lusciously rich with a nose of exotic fruits, peaches, pineapple and white flowers. The palate is powerful and smooth, with the same aromas and complexity as the nose. Pure, elegant and very well-balanced.
Bright and aromatic on the nose, with hints of red fruit and roses, typical of the variety. The palate is sweet without being heavy, offsetting the abundant fruit with mineral notes.
2005 Hungary, Tokaj, Late Harvest Curvee, Sauska Tokaji
Gorgeously rich yet precisely balanced, this classic Tokaji presents flavours of dried peach, apricot and toffee, all cut with a zesty citrus note. There is intensity and power here, but a lightness of touch that makes it decidedly moreish.

GORDON'S Instant citrus aromas on the nose creating a very fresh experience. Quite dry on the palate however, with lots of citrus lemon flavours hitting first. The freshness carries on but comes up rather a short offering. Pairs best with Fever-Tree Indian Tonic
TANQUERAY Very fresh and smooth on the nose with slight hints of juniper and citrus coming through. A good hit of liquorice is present on the palate, with a slight spice that creates a long tingle. Pairs best with Fever-Tree Aromatic Tonic
BOMBAY SAPPHIRE A slight pepper, yet very light and floral mix on the nose, with a hint of harshness on the palate that evolves into a bold mix of juniper and citrus. Very smooth on the aftertaste. Pairs best with Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic
PORTOBELLO ROAD Fresh citrus and lime on the nose, a little sharp in places with added spice. A clean palate with an instant freshness. Juniper dominates with a slow developing spice that lingers. Pairs best with Fever-Tree Indian Tonic
EDINBURGH On the nose is juniper and pine with citrus (lemon) notes. On the palate the juniper, pine and citrus trio continues, with light floral notes developing on this medium bodied spirit. This finish is a classic spicy pepper (coriander) with strong pine and ginger notes. Pairs best with Fever-Tree Aromatic Tonic
CAORUNN Lively on the nose with lots of floral and citrus aromas dancing well. Rather sharp on the palate when it first hits that develops into a long finish with hints of aniseed that dries a little. Pairs best with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic
SIPSMITH On the nose it gives off a soft floral scent with a fresh citrus and slight juniper note. The palate enjoyed the sweetness of the Seville orange, with a hit of juniper to follow. It led to a dry finish with a slight kick of spice at the end. Pairs best with Fever-Tree Indian Tonic
TARQUIN'S Soft citrus on the nose, with orange aromas and the subtle violets coming through. Reminds me of an Aviation cocktail. Sharp on the palate, but soon mellows before bursting with grapefruit, cardamom and angelica. A spice tingle develops, but an incredibly long finish ensues. A very small hint of dryness. Pairs best with Fever-Tree Lemon Tonic
BATHTUB Fresh junniper with a slight citrus aroma and a light juniper scent combining well on the nose. The palate is introduced to a slight raw kick of juniper but develops into a creamy texture and a long, slightly dry finish. Pairs best with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic
HENDRICK'S Small misxes of cucumber, rose and juniper on the nose create a mouth-watering effect on the palate that enjoys a smooth and very well-balanced gin. Clean and crisp on the after-taste. Pairs best with Fever-Tree Lemon Tonic
SILENT POOL A crisp clean gin with layers of flavour; juniper married with rich notes of lavender, honey and kaffir lime. Pairs best with Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic
MONKEY 47 There is a lot happening on the nose...woody, vegetable smells underpin fresh grassy, citrus notes and botanical sweetness, like a pine forest after the rain. The palate is predictably complex, this is a robust and powerful gin with plenty of spice, fruit and herb flavours. It's very well structured, and difficult to unpick but a citrus fresh start segues into pine and wood notes for a drying finish which is reassuringly heavy. Pairs best with Fever-Tree Indian Tonic
